Permits

The Fire Prevention Bureau is responsible for issuing a variety of permits within the PFA services area:Construction workers

Building Permits & Plan Review

All commercial construction within the PFA service area must be reviewed, approved, and inspected by PFA.  See the For Contractors section for extensive information on the permitting process.

Open Burning

All open burning where allowed within the boundaries of the Poudre Fire Authority requires a permit. Please click on the following links to view the requirements and access the online Application for Open Burning.

Other Permits

Permits are required for installation and major maintenance of fire protection equipment and special hazard facilities in the City of Fort Collins, Timnath, Laporte, Bellvue and Poudre Valley Fire Protection District. These include:
